Custodial history
Scope and content
Fonds consists of a set of 24 pamphlets assembled by Col. G.M. Carrie under the title "Notes on Accuracy of Artillery Fire". The pamphlets were written by multiple sources, reporting on technical accuracy tests of Canadian Artillery weapons during the Second World War. A typical pamphlet gives results from multiple tests, shown by data charts and verbal summaries. The final pamphlet, titled "Final Report of the Committee Set Up by the War Office to Investigate the Accuracy of Predicted Fire", offers a summary of all the data and suggests some rules and techniques to improve the general accuracy of Canadian artillery.
