          Part of City of Thunder Bay fonds

          Series consists of aerial photographs of the City of Thunder Bay. Included are aerial views of the former City of Fort William from 1949, 1955, 1959, 1962, 1968 and 1969; aerial views of the former City of Port Arthur from 1959 and 1969; and aerial views of the amalgamated City of Thunder Bay from 1974, 1976, 1981, 1983, 1987, 1991 and 1996. Also included in this series are aerial photographs of the Port Arthur urban renewal area from 1968.

          The collection consists of geological maps, aerial photographs, and mining and geology publications collected by Fockler during the course of his career as a consulting geologist. The collection also contains material relating to a mineral exploration in northern Quebec that Fockler was involved with in the 1940s.

          The collection is arranged into five series: Air photos of northern Ontario and Quebec; Air photos of Ontario highways; Geological maps; Mining and geology publications; New Quebec mineral exploration project.

          Collection is comprised of approximately 4200 slides of photographs pertaining primarily to the Canadian and Greenland Arctic. The photographs were taken during the 1970s to 1990s by Roger Buxton and are identified and dated. Also included are aerial views of Trent University (14 September 1985), photographs of the aftermath of the Barrie, Ontario tornado (31 May 1985), and photographs of family and scenic landscapes.

          Fonds includes reports and photographs pertaining to Susan Nealeís archaeological studies and career in the field of archaeology. The materials focus on Ontario, Nunavut, and England and include photographs and slides taken by Neale of Hambledon Hill, Edmund Point, Nettilling Lake, and Roche Bay. Many of the Roche Bay photographs are of lithics analyzed by Neale for her Trent University Masterís thesis. Also included in the fonds are personal, academic, and family records.
