Biografie
Sylvie Bégin, a resident of Hearst and a hairdresser, is the owner of a beauty salon called Les Ciseaux. She and her husband, Raymond Bégin, own the building where Mrs Bégin found the archival records, when moving her business to that location.

The fonds contains a register of a regional hairdressing salon in the 1940’s. In addition to names of clients and their hometowns, prices for the services received have been noted. Photos of nurses, assistant nurses and nuns working at Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst, in 1958, are also found in the fonds.

The Centre d’archives de la Grande Zone argileuse received the fonds from Sylvie Bégin in 2011 and in 2016.
Ordening
The archivist organized the records once acquired and respected the original order. The photographs have been scanned.
