          The fonds contains textual records and graphic material, mostly photographs, related to the company Pierre Thibault Ltée, including: photograph albums, sales catalogues, calendars (marketing tool), technical drawings, maintenance and operating manuals, press clippings, bills, and other administrative or financial documents. There is also a video on VHS cassette and DVD from the program Aujourd’hui on the fire fighters festival of Pierreville and Saint-François-du-Lac.

          One image of the Sudbury Construction & Machinery Company Limited at 139-149 Lorne Street in Sudbury, Ontario on fire with a black cloud of smoke billowing off of the roof. Crowds of people can be seen walking up Lorne Street toward the fire and a number of cars are parked on each side of the street.

          The collection consists of engineering drawings, photographic material, company records, employee records, product catalogues, company research, and other material relating to Waterous equipment, plant operations, and the employees of the Waterous Engine Works Co. 1874-1926, Waterous Ltd. 1926-1953 and Koehring-Waterous Ltd. 1953-1992. Textual records consist of corporate history, directors and shareholder’s minutes, order books, insurance appraisals, letters patents, deeds and mortgages, financial ledgers, stocks and bond issues, and brochures. There is also research by Roy Belshaw and his related correspondence. The engineering plans consist of 1773 drawings 1894-1931, mostly 1908-1931. Graphic material consists of 402 glass plate negatives, 171 negatives, 384 photographic prints, 1880-1960.

          Le fonds d’archives couvre approximativement la période de 1940 à 1998. Les documents sont en très grande majorité des dessins techniques de camions et de pièces de camions de la compagnie Pierre Thibault. Le fonds contient en plus des photographies des camions produits, des dossiers de soumissions et un dossier sur la fabrication des deux Papemobiles. À l’exception, nous retrouvons des documents différents tels des plans du plancher de l’usine. Nous retrouvons également quelques boîtes de documentation sur la compagnie Phoénix et plusieurs boîtes de dossiers de commande et dessins techniques de la firme concurrente, Camions à incendie Pierreville. Nous avons également repéré quelques catalogues de manufacturiers datant des années 1950 et 1960 tels les échelles aériennes de Merryweather et de Metz ainsi que des manuels d’instructions et d’entretien. Quelques cassettes vidéos des produits Nova QUINTech et des produits de divers manufacturiers tels pompes, châssis, et autres véhicules d’incendie s’y retrouvent également.
