Administrative history
The Faculty Club is essentially a luncheon club that serves the noon meal. It has a modest program of dinner-dances and parties during the school term. There is the Thursday Dinner Club with speakers and the club is available for use by individuals and groups. The mandate of the Faculty Club is to encourage social, cultural, and intellectual exchange between university staff and guests, as well as to provide opportunities for co-operation in advancing the interests and welfare of Carleton University.
Custodial history
These records were transferred to the Archives May 29, 1995 by James Brice, Manager of the Faculty Club.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of two series general files and financial files. Records include minutes, notices and financial statements from annual meetings, the Joint Management Committee, the Board of Directors and Managers' Meetings. There is also renovation proposals, membership lists, maintenance records, general ledgers, general journals, purchase, sales, deposits ledgers and financial statements. All records were accumulated and created to manage the operations and activities of the Faculty Club.
