Biographical history
Ellen Mitchell moved to the Old Millside area of the former City of York, now part of the City of Toronto, in the 1960s. She, along with her ex-husband David Britton, were active members of Old Millside Residents' Association (OMRA). She held an executive position in the OMRA in the early 1980s. Mitchell has also done community work with the Humbercrest United Church. She has an interest in local history, and has done a number of history talks and presentations in the community. Mitchell continues to live in the Old Millside area.
Custodial history
Records were transferred to Heritage York by Ellen Mitchell around 2010.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of records related to Ellen's local history work and records created by the Old Millside Residents' Association dating back to the 1940s.
