          Collection contains material collected or maintained by Elizabeth Raven, former teacher and Chairman of the Board for Alma College. Material related to Alma College includes ephemera, newspapers and newspaper clippings regarding the fire, newspaper clippings and memorial booklets for Dr. Flora Sifton, a session calendar, Alma College Alumnae bulletins, volumes of Almafilians, and meeting minutes of the Alma Alumnae Auxiliary. Collection also includes a scrapbook that highlights the activities of the Tonti Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire (I.O.D.E), in which Elizabeth Raven was a member and served as First Vice-Regent.

          The Events series comprises reports, clippings, documentation, and photographic records relating to certain large events that the Engineering Department was called to handle. It consists of 3 files:
          -The Timken Plant Flood around the Carr Drain, 1947
          -The Mill Creek Viaduct construction, including in-progress construction photographs
          -The Governor-General's 1972 visit to Alma College, showing the City Engineer needing to plan detours and decide which roads to close.

          Records relating to Susan McConnell's family. This file includes the following records:
          -The Board of Education, Toronto, Certificate of Honour: awarded to Toronto Public Schools pupil Hugh McConnell, for Regularity and Punctuality of Attendance, combined with Uniformly Good Conduct during the years 1938 to 1945.
          -Salvation Army Women's Hospital, Toronto, Feeding Instructions sheet for newborn baby (Susan) McConnell, 1955.
          -An article from the Halifax Mail Chronicle, September 1955, about Leading Seaman McConell, Royal Canadian Navy, having returned to Halifax after spending a year in the Arctic, at a post near Baffin. His wife and Susan met him in Toronto in August, and eventually they all returned to Halifax in September, to make it their home.
          -Employment record for Hugh McConnell, with the Toronto Police Service (joined the Toronto Police Service in 1960), 1985. Served with the Toronto Police Service for 25 years, until his death on September 26, 1985. At the time of his death, he was a Member of the Metropolitan Police Force 52 Division.
          -Obituary of Hugh McConnell, 1985.
