Fonds consists of records created or collected by Alison Pearce, mostly during her genealogical research project on the Pearce family, which informed the publication "The Pearces of Little Ireland". Includes records and photographs related the Pearce, Backus, Storey, Patterson and Goddard families of Elgin County. Fonds is arranged into the following series:</p>

This fonds consists of five legal documents. Four are "release to executor" documents drawn up and signed upon payment of legacies from the will of the late Archibald Love of Dunwich Township, Elgin County, Ontario, 1872-1876. There is also a document indicating the payment of money to various recipients by Catherine Love and Mary Love in 1876 and relinquishing any further claims by the recipients. Each indicates the amount of money received, familial relationships, and locations of the recipients. Some occupations are also noted.

Fonds consists of various records relating to the publication "Birds of Elgin County" (2004), including research materials, project proposal/ prospectus, correspondence and financial data, promotional materials and reviews, and two copies of the book - one unsigned softcover copy of the first printing, and one hardcover copy of the first printing signed by most but not all book contributors and members of the project coordinating committee.

The Burwell Family fonds is primarily comprised of the peronal and buisness papers of Hannibal Burwell (1825-1886), his son, Alfred E. Burwell (1871-1943) and his daughter Hannah Alberta Eliza Burwell (1864-1929), later Mrs. David Williams.
•There are 20 related artifacts including two family bibles, a portable writing desk belonging to Hannibal's father, Mahlon Burwell (1783-1846), a prominent surveyor, Justice of the Peace and MLA, Albert Burwell's South Africa War medals and volunteer service medals and a portrait of Mahlon's daughter Louisa Burwell (1818-1834).

Series contains business ledgers from miscellaneous businesses. Includes ledgers from the Erie and Niagara Railway Company, Dr. William Brock, the Eagle Warehouse Company, a ledger tracking the purchase and sale of livestock and unidentified businesses.

This series contains the business records of Archibald McLachlin and family members. Correspondence and accounts pertaining to the Fort Erie property, the Potter purchase, the Thomson estate, and the Colin Munro estate are included.

Series contains records created by the Canada Southern Railway.

File contains Maintenance Foreman weekly reports for the maintenance of the county road system, as well as folios from the County of Elgin's Treasurer's office.

Collection contains historical material pertaining to the history of Elgin County, which was collected by Don Cosens throughout his lifetime. Material includes photographs, postcards, business records, records from local families and individuals, ephemera, land records, estate records, scrapbooks, newspapers and newspaper clippings, fire insurance plans, art and reference material and books. The collection also contains material that reflects Don Cosen's personal involvement in a number of local organizations, as well as personal photographs.

Collection contains materials collected or created by Duncan C. McKillop including business ledgers, photographs and miscellaneous historic documents and ephemera. Also contains records from Elgin County residents and families including Samuel M. Pearce, the McKillop family, the Fowler family, and from Edward Frost.

Fonds consists of a Bailiff Process Book for the 4th Division Court in the County of Elgin, 1885-1891. Placed inside the book is a typed document that outlines the Phrenological Chart of D. McGregor.

Fonds consists of records created and maintained by both the Elgin County 4-H Association and individuals within the 4-H program. It includes the 4-H Constitution, annual reports, minutes of meetings, financial records, correspondence, lists of members, project records and workbooks done by 4-H members, newsletters, and scrapbooks.
