Edna Alice Long (nee Gibson) (1891-1969) was born on 9 Jul 1891 in Toronto to William Gibson and Margaret (nee Smith). She married Alfred Henry Clark Long on 7 Jan 1913. The couple had five (5) sons: Alfred Keith, Herbert Kitchener, Norman Thomas, Bruce Lafontaine (who died in infancy), and Frank Gibson. Edna was very involved with local charity work, including volunteering with the Port Hope & District Hospital Auxiliary. She died on 25 May 1969 and is buried at Port Hope St. John's Anglican Cemetery.
