After the death of Dr. Allen the records were given to Keith Denis, a member of the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists Society. He transferred them to Claude Garton, who passed them to Nick Escott, who finally donated them to the Lakehead University Library Archives on behalf of the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of notes, correspondence, bird observation data, and the natural history journals of Dr. Allen. The fonds contains the following series:
