    Colonel Douglas H. C. Mason, (fl. 1907) was a chemical engineer who, graduated from University of Toronto in 1907 and took a trip with classmate, Whitney Lailey, to James Bay in Northern Ontario.

    Fonds consists of microfilmed copies of the personal diary of Douglas H.C. Mason, written in 1907, while on a trip to James Bay. Fonds also includes a an outfit list and a topographical map used on the trip. In addition, fonds contains an album of 193 photographs taken during the trip. Subjects include: Douglas Mason, Whitney Lailey, Natives, and various camp sites.
