Administrative history

The District Missions Representatives Committee became a national standing committee in 1998. It consists of the District Missions Representatives, Divisional Director of Missions, Coordinators of Specialized Missions and Mission personnel, and a District Superintendent who is also a member of the World Missions Committee. The Committee is responsible to the World Missions Committee and the Superintendents Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to coordinate the promotion of missions and the itineration, care and support of missionaries at the district level. Although it was not made a national committee until 1998, the District Missions Representatives began meeting twice each year with the Development/Communications Department staff as early as 1995.
