    Biographical history

    David Park Jamieson (1903-1981) was born in Forest, Ontario, on March 2, 1903. He attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 1924. Jamieson was a sole practitioner in Sarnia, Ontario, until he joined the firm of Pardee, Gurd, Fuller and Taylor in 1938. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War, and was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1943. Jamieson held a number of positions with organizations and boards, including the Sarnia Chamber of Commerce and the Sarnia Drama Club. He was elected a bencher of The Law Society of Upper Canada in 1946, and served as president of the Canadian Bar Association from 1954 to 1955.

    Fonds consists of photographs maintained by Jamieson documenting two speaking occasions and other events of his life. Also included are group photographs taken at Canadian Bar Association annual meetings, photographs of a University of Ottawa ceremony, and a photograph of Lord Denning.
