Administrative history

Creighton - Lively Pastoral Charge was formed ca. 1952 when Naughton was added to Creighton Pastoral Charge, which included: Creighton Mine, O'Donnell, Waters Township, Lockerby, Minnow Lake, and Lively. The pastoral charge was discontinued ca. 1972 when Creighton Mine closed. Trinity United Church in Lively became a single-point charge at that time.

Fraternity United Church in Creighton Mine was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian. The first Presbyterian services were held in 1899 in Creighton Mine. A church building was constructed and dedicated in 1916. The church joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. It closed ca. 1972.

Trinity United Church, located at 217 Sixth Ave in Lively, was established ca. 1951. A church building was constructed in 1952, however, the congregation quickly outgrew the first building. A new building was constructed in 1954. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
