The Collingwood Horticultural Society is a group that promotes civic beautification through horticulture. It was established by local merchants in 1882. It was taken over by the Agricultural Society in 1911. The Society was revived once in 1933 (it continued until World War II) and again in 1972. The society is a memeber of the Ontario Horticultural Association which is comprised of 19 Districts. The Collingwood Horticultural Society is part of District 16, Simcoe County.
