The fonds reflects the couple's involvement in a variety of cultural, economic and community activities. The fonds consists of a few photographs, brochures, some objects, newspapers, newspaper clippings, a few books, leaflets, correspondence, and other.

The fonds contains legal documents relating to the purchase by Joseph Bergevin, in 1922, of an agricultural lot in Glackmeyer Township and to the sale of the farm to his son Armand, in 1952. Documents listing the Bergevin family’s genealogy are also included.

The fonds consists of records related to the company Benoît D'Amours Lumber founded by the donor, all of which were kept by the donator himself. The fonds consists of invoices, ledgers, mechanic manuals, legal documents, journals, and other.

The fonds contains photographic documents relating to the trial of the lumbermen accused of unlawful assembly following the shooting that took place at Reesor Siding, during the night of February 11, 1963. Located 55 kilometers west of Kapuskasing, Reesor Siding was a railroad siding, where pulpwood had been stalked. The wood had been cut and pilled by non-unionized woodsmen, settlers’ cutting permits licensees and members of the Coopérative forestière de Val Rita, a forestry cooperative. The lumbermen on strike were employees of the Spruce Falls Power and Paper Company in Kapuskasing and the Kimberly Clark Pulp and Paper in Longlac and were members of locals 2995 and 2693 of the Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union. They were going to Reesor Siding to bring down the pilled wood so that it wouldn’t get to the Spruce Falls paper mill in Kapuskasing. Upon the arrival of the strikers, members of the cooperative opened fire. Three strikers were killed, eight were wounded.

The fonds contains documents relating to Brigitte Labelle Lacroix’s school years at a catholic elementary school named Saint-Pascal-Baylon in the Côtes-Des-Neiges neighborhood in Montreal. Among the documents are notebooks containing daily homework exercises in composition, grammar, music, drawing and so on. In addition to these documents, some textbooks published in the 1920s are also found in the fonds. Also part of the fonds are notebooks belonging to Bernadette Labelle, Brigitte’s mother, when she was a student at the elementary school in Saint-Janvier, Quebec at the end of the 19th century.

The fonds Chœur Franc-Nord includes textual record, audio and audiocassette.

The fonds consists of moving images related to the donor’s family and acquaintances as well as the town of Hearst and Henry Selin Forest Products. These moving images are about weddings, christenings, hunting and fishing, Christmas celebrations with family, trips, and events such as a fire in Hearst, the strike at Henry Selin Forest Products in 1962, a parade in Hearst and others.

The fonds contains textual documents relating to Clef en Main’s mandate and activities between 1984 and 2007. Among the documents are minutes of the meetings, legal and financial documents, information concerning La Loterie 150 des Femmes and newspaper clippings.

The fonds contains documents related to the Kapuskasing Credit Union from 1939 to 2005. Found amongst the documents are financial records, administrative documentation, correspondence, official publications, publicity and press releases, regulations and manuals, as well as printed photographs and negatives.

The collection contains newspaper clippings mostly from The Northland Post/The Cochrane Times and l’Ours Noir, two Cochrane newspapers. There are also a few clippings from other northern Ontario newspapers. They are related to members of the Lamarche and Bergevin families, as well as to elements of the history of the town of Cochrane. Some clippings have not been retained and others were returned to the donor. The archivist also added a note to some of the documents.

The fonds contains records of the businesses founded by Ernest Gosselin in northern Ontario. Most of the documents relate to the various properties that belonged to him in the Geraldton area.

This fonds includes an incomplete set of the INTER PAR bulletin published by Saint Pie X’s parish from 1999 and 2002. It also contains parish and diocesan brochures from 1956 and 1958. Photos of the last mass, Rémi Lessard celebrated as pastor of Saint Pie X, are also part of the collection. Rémi Lessard was the parish’s priest from 1985 to 1999.

The fonds contains a collection of humoristic cartoons related to Northeastern Ontario, produced by Daniel Potvin and Francine Pouliot. The cartoons focus on different local characters and organizations from Hearst and the surrounding area. Also found in the fonds are a few political cartoons as well as some personal drawings.

The fonds contains textual documents relating to the activities of Franco-Femmes and Parmi-Elles between 1977 and 1994. Among the documents are minutes of meetings, activity reports, grant applications, correspondence, financial records, newspapers clippings as well as some audiovisual content. Also found are some documents related to the resource center, L’Escale.

The fonds contains textual documents related to the postal service during the Second World War and afterwards. More specifically, the documents are linked to the postal office in Mead, Ontario, a village located approximately 35 km from Hearst. In addition to some correspondence letters, the fonds contains guidelines on regulating the mail sent to or by the prisoners of war, who worked in labour camps in the region.

The fonds includes audiovisual documents and digital reproductions of photos related to the operations of the Gosselin Lumber Company, in Carey Lake and Calstock. Some of these photos belonged to the donor, others were reproduced with the permission of Roland Caron and Georges Gosselin. The fonds also contains textual and audiovisual records about the Double Rink Hockey Tournament of Hearst (Tournoi des Deux Glaces). Documents and photos of the area’s school buildings as well as miscellaneous records complete the fonds.

The fonds includes textual and audio documents. It contains the first versions of some of the poems found in Lizotte’s two books, unpublished poems, narratives and remarks about plants that the author was fond of. Most of the audio material has been kept, one was returned to the donor.

The collection includes hundreds of slides relating to lumber work and to the hunting, fishing and trapping activities practiced by the Clamouse de la Touche family. Beautiful pictures of Northern Ontario landscapes are also part of the collection. Some of the slides can be found in Jacqueline de la Touche’s posthumously published book entitled Pris sur le vif. A few textual records are also part of the fonds.

The fonds contains textual and photographic information about Jacques Poirier. Among the documents are unpublished poems and manuscripts associated with the four poetry publications of the donor. Documents related to Les Éditions du Nordir, unpublished poems written by Robert Yergeau and two plays written by Pierre Albert are also included.

The fonds contains textual, photographic and audio documents relating to Jean-Roch Pelletier’s personal life and religious career starting with his collegial studies in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. The fonds also retraces the fifty years he spent serving as a priest in Northern Ontario.
