Administrative history
The By-Laws and Markets Committee was established to manage the physical upkeep of the City Hall, Winter Fair building, and Exhibition grounds. This committee was also responsible for initiating by-laws for the City of Guelph Council. In 1912, it was composed of 3 aldermen, from whom a chairperson was selected, plus the mayor. By 1913, the number of aldermen increased to four. The precise dates of creation and dissolution of this committee are not known.
