Administrative history
The congregation of Christ Church, Dixon's Corners existed by 1876 and a frame church had been built by 1883 with lumber donated by parishioners. During 1920, the congregations of South Mountain and Dixon's Corners purchased a new parsonage while the church building in each place was renovated both inside and out. Due to a dwindling congregation, Christ Church was closed and secularized by Bishop Ernest Samuel Reed on May 11, 1969. The land was sold to the township and the building sold for demolition. The congregation of Christ Church elected to identify with the congregation of St. John the Baptist, Iroquois.
