Series consists of copies of <i>Caring</i>, the TTH weekly staff newsletter. <i>Caring</i> was first published April 7, 1989, replacing <i>Generally Speaking</i>, the staff newsletter of the Toronto General Hospital (Sub-series 7.1, The Toronto General Hospital fonds).
The newsletter contains news and announcements, including staff appointments and retirements; special events; changes to Hospital services and facilities, organizational charts, obituaries etc.
Files 2.2.8 to 2.2.9 contain some of the master copies of the issues.
There are some errors in issue numbering. Some issues are also missing.

Immediate source of acquisition
Files were transferred to the Archives from the Department of Public Affairs and Communications in three separate accessions. Files 2.2.1 to 2.2.5 were transferred to the Archives in August 1998. Files 2.2.6 to 2.2.9 were transferred on April 22, 1999 by Mary Stobbe. Files 2.2.10 to 2.2.11 were transferred on September 8, 2008 by Lea Zeltserman.
