History
The Department of National Defence’s Director Inquiries and Administration underwent a name change and was known for a short time as the Director General Corporate Management Services (DGCMS). DGCMS managed day-to-day continuity and consistency among DND staff and corporate procedures. This branch was merged with Compensation Service Unit in 1999 to create the new Corporate Services Branch. The branch is under the responsibility of the Assistant Deputy Minister (Finance and Corporate Services).
