Brownsville Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly Methodist; it included Brownsville, Delmer, and Culloden, and later Brownsville-Culloden. The charge amalgamated with Avondale Zion Pastoral Charge to form Trinity (Tillsonburg) Pastoral Charge.
Brownsville-Culloden United Church was established ca. 1974 when Culloden United Church closed and its congregation joined Brownsville in the Brownsville church. It closed on May 1, 2011.
Brownsville United Church, located at 292262 Culloden Line in Brownsville, was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. A Methodist class was established in Brownsville in 1842 and in 1856, a frame church was erected. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. It closed ca. 1974 when the congregation amalgamated with Culloden to form Brownsville-Culloden United Church.
Culloden United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist and Presbyterian. The Culloden congregation of the Presbyterian Church was organized in 1856 and a church
building was constructed that year. The Culloden Methodist Church was built in 1861; the congregation formed part of Brownsville Methodist Circuit with Corinth, Brownsville, Delmer and Bayham.From 1915 Lyons, Culloden and Ebenzer formed a circuit. Culloden Methodist Church, Culloden Presbyterian Church and Ebenezer Methodist Church combined to form the Culloden United Church in 1925, and was part of Verschoyle Charge. In 1930, the church joined the Brownsville Charge. a new building was constructed in 1955. It closed ca. 1974 and its members joined Brownsville-Culloden United Church.
