The Barrie Coalition to End Woman Abuse was a network of individuals, groups and organizations in Barrie and area dedicated to ending woman abuse through leadership and actions that achieved: social equality for women; an integrated response to abused women and their children; advocacy and action around societal issues which contribute to woman abuse. The Coalition targeted the community at large for its education and awareness-raising events. The Coalition also tried to reach women through various community organizations. It was formed in 1993 using a "Zero Tolerance to Violence" working title, and had ceased to exist by 18 July 2003.

Fonds consists of the records of the Barrie Coalition to End Woman Abuse, including minutes, agendas, financial statements,and bank statements. Also includes resource material and records pertaining to International Women's Day events held in Barrie, Ontario.
