Barbara Dundas is a graduate from the Masters in Public History Program at the University of Waterloo. She has worked in various museums and with the Directorate of History and Heritage, Department of National Defence. She is the author of “A History of Women in the Canadian Military” and co-author with Dr. Serge Durflinger of “The Canadian Women’s Army Corps, 1941-1946”.

Fonds consists of one compact disk containing the text for “A History of Women in the Canadian Military” and its French edition “Les femmes dans le patrimoine militaire canadien” by Barbara Dundas, as well as 99 photographs. The books were published in 2000 by Art Global. The photos are mostly reproductions from Library and Archives Canada and were used in the books chapters’ I-V. The photos depict women in various military roles throughout the years. Most photos date from the First and Second World War.
