Administrative history

Avon-Putnam Pastoral Charge was formed ca. 1968 with the merger of Avon and Putnam Pastoral Charges. It originally included Avon, Banner, Crampton, Harrietsfield (only for 1968), and Mossley (later named Putnam). In 1994, with the merger of Avon and Crampton congregations, it became a three-point charge with Banner, Avon-Crampton, and Putnam. It would then become a two-point charge when Avon-Crampton and Putnam amalgamated to form Reynolds Creek United Church in Putnam. It is still an active charge of the United Church of Canada.

Avon Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, and included Avon, Harrietsville and Crampton; it was discontinued ca. 1968 when Mossley and Banner were added to Avon Pastoral Charge, forming Avon - Putnam Pastoral Charge.
