Andrew F. Hunter (1863-1940) was an author, archaeologist and historian, known for his history of Simcoe County, Ontario and for various studies of Indian settlements in the area.

Fonds consists of the records created, received and compiled by Andrew F. Hunter while writing a proposed book on Sir Daniel Wilson, an anthropologist and the first president of the University of Toronto. Fonds includes a preliminary rough draft of the biography, as well as notes, pamphlets, and articles concerning Wilson. In addition, fonds contains three photographs of Daniel Wilson, John McCaul and George Wilson.
