Biographical history

Alma McMullin was born in 1914 Alma McMullin and her sister Eileen came from the family farm at 22505 Sutherland Road, Caradoc Township. Alma taught at Talbotville School (Southwold S.S. #6) from 1939 to 1944. She died in 1970, and is buried in Cook's United Church Cemetery near Mount Brydges, Middlesex County.

Photographs and letters written by Alma Pearl McMullin, a teacher at the Talbotville Public School (Southwold School Section Number 6) from 1939-1944. Fonds includes class photographs of her students, and letters that she sent to her boyfriend at the time, W.L. "Jimmy" Ward. At the time, teachers had to resign on marriage. Alma and Jimmy were married in July 1944.
