Eight contestants entered in the bathing suit contest. The event was sponsored by the Kinsmen Club. The judges determining the winner were Ian Campbell, Leo Gauthier, and Ald. Louis Robillard. Clemence Grenier of Creighton Mine won second place, while Rose Fera placed third.

June Elva Holnuty (née June Elva Campbell) unanimously won the 'Miss Sudbury' title at the Jubilee Celebration at Bell Park in Sudbury, Ontario.

The first place prize was a gold wrist watch (valued at $50), a $5 war bond, a first place red crest and a corsage of roses.
