3146 Training Station Depot was a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) unit based in Prestwick, Scotland during the early 1960s, and was involved in flying operations in Scotland.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of documents dealing with flying exercises and operations in Scotland by 3146 Training Station Depot of the RCAF, including Exercise Tartan Task, Exercise Sa Siesta and Operation Western Weal. Also includes files concerning the disposal of surplus Sabre 5 aircraft equipment and the movement of Sabre 6 aircraft from Prestwick, Scotland to Canada. Includes operation orders, correspondence, messages and various other documents.

Exercise Tartartan Task - The mission was to conduct ferry operations of 1 Air Division T-33 aircraft movements between the Wings and UK contractors.

Exercise Sal Siesta - Following the phase out of the IDF Squadrons and disbandment of the AWF Squadrons 1 Air Division F86 and CF100 aircraft were ferried to Scottish Aviation Ltd. at Prestwick, Scotland.

Operation Western Weal - The mission mandate for Operation Western Weal was to ferry RCAF aircraft to France and Greece. It was conducted in 1962. On this occasion 40 T-33s and 10 Expeditors were given to France, and 10 T-33s to Greece. This operation was conducted in five separate missions between 17 April and 3 August.
