The 2nd Canadian Corps was a corps-level formation that, along with I (British) Corps and 1st Canadian Corps, comprised the 1st Canadian Army in Northwest Europe during the Second World War. Authorization for the formation of the Corps headquarters became effective in England on 14 January 1943. The Corps engaged in combat operations in Northwest Europe from the beginning of July 1944 to just before VE Day in early May 1945. It was disbanded on 25 June 1945 as part of general demobilization.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of 2nd Canadian Corps intelligence summaries from the Second World War dated 1944-1945. Includes descriptions of enemy dispositions, weapons and Allied operational progress. A number of sketch drawings of German tanks, grenades and other weaponry are present. Also includes many tracer maps which detail various Allied and enemy positions in Northwest Europe.
