Leslie Wright was born and raised in Enfield, London, England. He was in Sudbury, Ontario visiting his cousins Arthur Waller and Ena Waller at 141 Regent Street after being stationed in Carberry, Manitoba, where he had been training to receive his wings.

Sergeant Pilot Leslie Wright was a bomber pilot with the Royal Air Force (R.A.F.).

Sergeant Pilot Leslie Wright was reported "killed in action" at the age of 20 during World War II (WWII). To read about his death, see "R.A.F. Victor to City Last Year Killed," Sudbury Star, December 20 1943, p. 13.
