One image of Don Steepe, Viv Cullen, Hugh John Humphrey, Metty Misiak and Keith Callaghan posing together with a row of female students standing behind them during a party held in their honour in the gymnasium of Sudbury High School in Sudbury, Ontario. The students had finished high school for the year and the male students were leaving for war positions on farms and in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

Don Steepe, Hugh John Humphrey, Keith Callaghan and Viv Cullen completed their fifth year of high school while Metty Misiak completed his fourth year.
Don Steepe, Hugh John Humphrey and Keith Callaghan were to join the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), while Viv Cullen and Metty Misiak were being sent to do farm work for the war effort.
Keith Callaghan died on November 5, 1943 at the age of 20 while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He is included in the Royal Canadian Legion Dr. Fred Starr Branch 76's Book of Remembrance. https://www.archeion.ca/book-of-remembrance
